Peer Review
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Computer Engineering and Information Technology (JCEIT) through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform undergo a rigorous editorial and peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality scholarly research.
Upon submission, each manuscript is first evaluated by the Editorial Office to determine whether it is consistent with the journal's aims and scope, complies with the author guidelines, and satisfies the basic requirements for publication. Manuscripts may also be screened for originality before proceeding to peer review.
Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject area of the submitted work.
JCEIT applies a Double Anonymous Peer Review process. In this system, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process to ensure fairness, objectivity, and impartiality in the evaluation of manuscripts.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on several criteria, including:
-
Originality and novelty of the research;
-
Scientific quality and methodological soundness;
-
Significance and contribution to the field;
-
Clarity of presentation and organization;
-
Validity of results and conclusions; and
-
Relevance and adequacy of references.
Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor may issue one of the following decisions:
-
Accept;
-
Accept with Minor Revisions;
-
Major Revisions Required; or
-
Reject.
Authors receiving revision requests are expected to revise their manuscripts and submit a detailed response addressing each reviewer comment within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.
The final publication decision is made by the Editor based on the reviewers' recommendations, the quality of the revised manuscript, and the journal's editorial policies. All editorial decisions are made independently and are communicated to the authors through the OJS platform.
JCEIT is committed to maintaining a transparent, objective, confidential, and ethical peer review process in accordance with internationally recognized standards of scholarly publishing.
