Repository Policy

The Journal of Computer Engineering and Information Technology (JCEIT) adopts a repository policy that supports open access and the broad dissemination of scholarly works. Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit all versions of their articles in institutional, subject-based, or personal repositories, as well as on academic social networking sites.

1. Versions Allowed for Deposit

Authors may deposit the following versions of their manuscripts:

  • Pre-print (Author’s Original Version): The version before peer review.

  • Post-print (Accepted Version): The peer-reviewed and accepted manuscript before publisher’s formatting.

  • Publisher’s Version (Version of Record): The final published PDF provided by JCEIT.

2. Deposit Locations

Deposits may be made in:

  • Institutional repositories

  • Subject repositories (e.g., arXiv, Zenodo)

  • Academic social networking sites (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu)

  • Author’s personal website or academic profile pages

  • National or international open access repositories

3. Licensing and Attribution

All deposited versions must include proper citation to the published article in JCEIT and provide a link to the journal’s official website.

Articles published in JCEIT are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

Any reuse or distribution of the deposited material must credit the original author(s) and the source of publication and must be limited to non-commercial purposes, in accordance with the license terms.

4. Embargo Policy

JCEIT applies no embargo period. Authors may deposit their manuscripts immediately upon acceptance or publication.

5. Purpose of Repository Policy

This policy ensures that scholarly work published in JCEIT remains accessible to the global research community, enhances the visibility and citation of authors’ works, and aligns with international best practices in open access publishing.
